Centre Stage Dance Academy

Centre Stage Dance Academy is based in Halesowen and welcomes children and adults from across Birmingham, Sandwell and Dudley in the West Midlands, from as young as two and a half years of age.

We are a multi-disciplinary dance school that offers classes for all ages and abilities, in a secure and friendly environment. Our aim is to make dancing as fun and rewarding as possible!

Students are taught how to perform routines in theatre dance subjects and to various types of music, as well as being taught strong technical work to maintain a 100% pass rate in I.D.T.A examinations. We have children of varying abilities who all benefit from our classes. Not only do the boys and girls learn to dance, but they are taught how to perform, have fun and gain confidence as they progress.

At Centre Stage we take great pride in the social development of our students. We bring young people together in a vibrant and exciting community to explore the magical world of dancing and performing. No matter how large or small the goal, Centre Stage will encourage students to surpass even their own expectations.

Ballet

Ballet helps to develop poise, co-ordination, discipline of the body, musicality and expression through the enjoyment of classical dance.

Modern Jazz

Originating from African American communities of the late 1800s, Jazz developed into the smooth style popularised on Broadway.

Tap

Tap is rhythm - rhythm is tap. Its origins are many and varied but tap is as popular today as it was in the heyday of the great Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Acrobatics

Gymnastic dance combines the control and fluidity of dance movements along with strength, flexibility and the precision of gymnastic balance and positions.
